Wakeman

Choreographer

Based on the incredible true story of sarah rosetta wakeman…

“WAKEMAN” is a thought-provoking look at one woman’s bravery, as she steps into the shoes of a man in 1862 to provide for her family, only to be recruited by the Union Army. Jenn Grinels emotional and soulful music, paired with a script featuring Rosetta’s actual letters written to her family, made for a unique journey through the Civil War’s less highlighted history.
